Dear Dream Tending and Imagination Community,
Like you, I am feeling the pain and the suffering resulting from the wars and street violence occurring worldwide. Let’s join together as a community and do two things.
First, bring attention to your nightly or daytime dreams. Let a dream make a claim on your attention. No matter what the content, difficult, horrific, beautiful, or wonderous, write a section (about two paragraphs or less) in your journal. Next, write it a second time, and simply notice how the writing unfolds. On the third time, write it out poetically. No need to be a “poet,” simply write the lines out in a poetic way. Let prose take on a life of its own.
Second, send the poem to Dream Tending via email at hello@dreamtending.com. We are cooperating with people suffering in Ukraine. They are asking for our help and our care. In addition to the psychological services that we are offering, your poems originating in the dreaming psyche and deep imagination will bring a gesture of care.

We will then have our Dream Tending Mentors create a composite poem from what has been submitted; we will share the composite poem openly with our entire community.
Until next Tuesday . . .
In the dreamtime,
Steve
