
Alia Aizenstat, MA, LMFT, joined the Dream Tending Team in 2005 first as a student and program assistant. She now serves as the Executive Director of Dream Tending. Alia is a speaker, international educator, and licensed depth psychotherapist. She specializes in Internet Addiction and the use of dreams and imagination as a path to healing. Alia is certified in Leadership Development, Attachment Focused EMDR therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is a Registered Yoga Teacher. Alia’s clinical background, educational leadership, and trauma training infuses her understanding and approach to dreamwork.

Myka Hanson, Ph.D., is a Dream Tending enthusiast and has been through Certificate Programs I, II, III, and is also a mentor in the Mentors of the Academy of Imaginal Arts and Sciences program. As a non-clinician, Myka loves to explore how Dream Tending can be integrated into any career path or personal journey. She currently serves as the Educational Coordinator for Dream Tending and is the contact person for Certificate I. When she’s not working in the dream world, Myka works with people ages 11-29 as a life coach on navigating adolescence and young adulthood. Her favorite ways to spend her free time are with her husband and step-daughter, playing with her three dogs, gardening, or reading. Samantha Ewashko, MA, joined the Dream Tending team in 2021 as a Program’s Coordinator. She plays an important role in the Dream Tending team supporting successful Certificate I, II & III programs, the Mentors of the Academy, workshops, and retreats. Samantha holds a master’s degree in Somatic Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She additionally works as a Somatic Yoga Therapy Educator with an emphasis in military stress and PTSD. Samantha’s extended training in psyche and soma inform how she holds and tends to Dream Tending programs.
