Dear Dream Tending Community,
I have just returned from my annual Montana Fall workshop. We arrived expecting the sunshine and the leaves of the Aspen trees to be in bright colorful display. Something different happened. It started to snow. For three days and two nights the landscape turned shimmering white. The seasons were changing. The vivid silhouettes of animals (including a bear, moose, elk, deer, and horses) displayed themselves on the Montana landscape.
The animals mirrored the need we all share. The need for attending to changing circumstances.
Hosting dreams in ways that animated, not only explained, life transitions became the soul-felt theme of our time together. As I offered ways to meet these dreams, the healing powers of our innate nature emerged. We drew from wisdom embedded in our inheritance, a sense of deep belonging to the cycles of life. Living dream images of landscapes, animals, people, and feelings filled the room. As a community, we were in the company of the many soul companions who visit when the seasons transition.
With that in mind, I invite you to join us in our Introduction to Dream Tending Workshop on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 as I reintroduce the essential craft of tending dreams. For those of you thinking about joining our Certificate I program, this is a perfect opportunity to get a sense of the experience and the healing potentialities of tending dreams.
“Follow the Animal” Practice:
Begin to slow down. Separate from the business of your day. Take six deep breaths. Experience coming into your body from head to toe. In your dreamtime, remember an animal’s visitation. Pause. Take five minutes of uninterrupted time and simply “follow the animal.” Experience what awakens in your body…
Looking forward to being in community with each of you soon. Take care.
Warmly,
Dr. Stephen Aizenstat

A quote that resonated with me this week…
“You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.”
