Dear Dream Tending Community,
From Atlanta to Santa Fe, to South Australia, to Portland, to Ecuador, to Maui, to Canada, to Los Angeles, to Italy, to Vermont, to South Africa, to San Antonio, to the UK, to Kansas, to China – dreamers and seekers have gathered to start a new Certificate II program where they set sail into the seas of deep imagination. As we went around and shared images a magical treasure chest emerged, and it became clear having this international, like-minded community is the gold.
Communitas, is Latin for the spirit of a community of equals and is based on the principle of belonging. Belonging is the medicine to separateness and fear. In tending to dreams with the support of communitas, images become portals through which we journey into the Matrix of Imagination. Here, dreams open more fully, their innate intelligence illuminates, along with curiosity and creativity. To journey while being held in communitas is a central part of what makes the Dream Tending certificate programs so special.
If the Dream Tending community is calling you it is not too late. We have opened a second enrollment for Certificate I starting this January! To learn more reach out to programs@DreamTending.com.
Warmly,
Alia Aizenstat, LMFT
Executive Director, Dream Tending

Journal Exercise

Write a letter to yourself exploring what it feels like to belong in communitas. End the letter by naming people and pets that you are grateful for in being a part of your communitas.

Inside The Curious Mind

A quote that resonated with me this week…
“The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”
