Welcome to this week’s Tending Tuesdays offering! Tending Tuesdays was inspired by a pull to sustain the value of what happens when we come together as a community. Each Tuesday, an email will come to you with a link to a new video on a Dream Tending or depth psychological topic in the form of current writing and research, interviews, discussions with colleagues, and clips of tending dreams.
Dear Dream Tending and Imagination Community,
We just finished the first module of our new Certificate I program, and I am deeply moved. Below find the five take-aways that touched my heart and soul.
1) When animating rather than interpreting dream images, they presented themselves as embodied persons of the soul with breath and pulse. As they came to life, so did we.
2) Before long, a community of soul companions filled the room. They opened beauty and compassion among us.
3) We felt a sense of belonging to something more than a workshop experience. Awakened by the depth and breadth of soul, we became part of a soul-centered academy of deep imagination.
4) Seeing through the lens of imagination, the “poetic basis of mind,” as James Hillman would say, revealed itself. I felt the visitation of a renewed creativity.
5) Perhaps most touching for me was the privilege to spend three days in a supportive, protective community of co-journeyers. I felt the magic and wonder of co-creation in the fields of the dreamtime.

Stephen Aizenstat
Stephen Aizenstat, Ph.D., is the founder of Dream Tending, Pacifica Graduate Institute, and the Academy of Imaginal Arts and Sciences. He is a world-renowned professor of depth psychology, an imagination specialist, and an innovator. He has served as an organizational consultant to major companies and institutions, and as a depth psychological content advisor to Hollywood film makers. He has lectured extensively in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. He is affiliated with the Earth Charter International project through the United Nations, where he has spoken.
