The Living Image Workshop

with Stephen Aizenstat, Ph.D and featuring Louise Rosager

A One-Day Immersion in Dr. Aizenstat’s Dream Tending Approach

Sunday, October 4th, 2026
9:00 am – 5:00 pm PST
(with a one-and-a-half-hour lunch break)

Dreams are always communicating to us, even if we are not sure how to connect with them.

For instance, maybe you will wake up with an image still vivid, or a feeling that may cling to you for the first few minutes of the day, but by the time you reach your desk, tends to fade.

Or maybe you do work with your dreams, but it feels like decoding: looking up symbols, assigning meaning, treating the dream like a puzzle to solve rather than a living presence to meet.

Something in you knows there’s a deeper way to engage with the imagery of dreams, and you just haven’t discovered it yet.

By the end of this one-day workshop, you’ll walk away with:

  • A felt, embodied way of meeting your dream images, not analyzing them from a distance, but actually being with them
  • The ability to engage a dream figure directly: to ask it something and stay open to what comes back
  • A working understanding of the core tenets of Dr. Aizenstat’s Dream Tending methodology
  • A practiced sense of your dream life as alive, creative, and enlivened, not static material to interpret after the fact
  • A new relationship to your own imagination, one you can return to long after the workshop ends
  • Additionally, should you be curious to learn more about Dream Tending or the upcoming Certificate I program, this is a perfect opportunity to discover more about the Dream Tending experience

Recent Testimonials

“The skills I am learning in Dream Tending have been revolutionary and have positively impacted several aspects of my life. Particularly when it comes to working with challenging emotions like anxiety, grief, or anger, the Dream Tending practice is a real game changer. It provides tools to engage these areas of the Self in a way that is value-creating, empowering, and deeply transformative.”

– Louise R., Writer and Executive Producer

“Dream Tending is allowing for images to emerge that have as much to do with my inner struggles as with those of the world: the pain over the personal paths not taken as well as the missed opportunities for the healing of the planet. It also points me to unexpected allies – both in the dream group and dream time – that help materialize new strategies for being in, and with, this world.”

– R. Funke, educator and accompanist.

How It Works

What people feel after attending the workshop?

“I have often felt alone on my life’s journey. Dream Tending has helped me to identify some imaginal partners that have always been with me. Deepening these relationships has definitely had an affect on my moods and enriched my journey.”

– André McCray, Psychotherapist

“My experience with Dream Tending is that it gives me a new way to be with some of the intense emotions that may come up through dreams. I can feel how my reactions and emotions have their own presence, and from here, I can engage in relationship with them from a place of curiosity rather than fear.”

– P.J., Student
