Dear Dream Tending Community,

A Soul-Centered Response

We know the afflictions all too well. The list is growing by the day. I wonder, how will we respond? What is being asked of us now?

Getting out to vote is important. Participating in community action is vital and often restorative. Yet, actions that are separate from the generative psyche lack sustainability. Given the current conditions, our responses need to be anchored in our tending to a soul-centered advocacy. Over the years, I have advocated a praxis of Archetypal Activism.

With the support of community, inner and outer, we can act in the world with the imaginal intelligence that originates in the dreamtime. Each of us can experience the renaissance of an at once, ancient and modern, activism. Rather than being beholden to self-interest, Archetypal Activism is rooted in something deeper, our engaged response to the call of the dream images.

Individually, and in community, we can do this now. We must do this. Our children and their children’s children ask this, need this, from us now.

Let’s support one another in enacting our soul-centered response.

I invite you to REGISTER BELOW to join me LIVE on Zoom on Wednesday, November 5th at 12:00pm PST, for Dream Tending’s Open House, where we will discuss how the upcoming Dream Tending and Deep Imagination Immersion Program will exalt the embodiment and practice of this kind of response.

Please also enjoy the exercise below to carry this responsiveness forward.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Warmly,

Dr. Stephen Aizenstat

Practice a Soul Centered Response:

  1. Experience the world as always dreaming. Notice the images that appear from both awake and sleeping dreams.
  2. Which images in particular claim your attention? They may be beautiful, or they may be nightmarish.
  3. With support of your inner and/or outer community, get curious. Look at the particularity of the image. Use your senses: perception, hearing, scent, touch.
  4. Patience. Don’t react, don’t make meaning so quickly. Pause. Listen. Experience the presence of the living image.
  5. Respond on behalf of the guidance offered by the images originating in the psyche of the world’s dream.
  6. Enact the guidance offered through the imaginal intelligence of the “anima mundi,” the soul in and of the world.
