Dear Dream Tending Community,
As we are experiencing time and again, the stories dominating the psyche in the world of today orient around war and extinction. Like many of you, I, too, am experiencing the urgency to reawaken within myself, and in community, the vital and resonant presence of new stories. Stories that evolve not from the complexes of ego’s power drive or habituated patriarchal narratives, but in the illuminating presence of an emerging Story-Web: a realm where the intimations of the deep psyche ask to be known.
Here is the good news. Recent findings in neurophysiology demonstrate that when increasing theta networks in the brain through journeying in the Story-Web there are measurable increases in theta. As a result, creativity, innovation, and imaginal intelligence increases. When this happens children, as well as adults, become open to receiving awakening stories of another kind. The challenge of today is to increase imaginal intelligence and sustain connection to the Story-Web of deep imagination.
Our Dream Tending community offers many ways to expand one’s conduit to their authentic imaginal intelligence as well as cultivate a sustainable connection to stories. We would be so happy to have you join us in this necessary and generative exploration.
Hope to connect with you soon. Take care.
Warmly,
Dr. Stephen Aizenstat
