Dear Dream Tending Community,
Last week, I attended the International Congress of Analytical Psychology, celebrating the 150th Anniversary of C.G. Jung. We met in Zurich, the home place of Jung, where analysts and those in training from around the world were in attendance. Drawn to the pioneering work of Jung, folks gathered to continue the development of his genius contributions to the field of Depth Psychology. I was privileged to present on a panel in the main Hall and, too, host a reception for the OPUS Archives and Research Center. It was wonderful to reconnect with colleagues and friends from the many places that my work with Dream Tending and Imagination has taken me over the decades. From China to Russia, from the Americas to Europe, and places beyond, we enjoyed the rich offerings and, together, responded to how our work is particularly relevant in the world of today.
I come home to Santa Barbara both inspired and committed to deepen our work together, both personally and collectively. While in Zurich, I reflected time and again on our Dream Tending community. I am truly looking forward to the months ahead and to our gatherings. I am feeling illuminated by the new work we will be unfolding in our Dream Tending and Deep Imagination Immersion Program starting in the New Year. Together, we will journey into the depths of the psyche, discover portals to generative fields of imagination, and too, create our own personal version of Jung’s renowned Red Book. In community, we will support one another in such a potent undertaking. We will tend to ourselves as well as tend to the soul in and of the world.
Further, I have invited selected people I met in Zurich to offer their expertise to complement and deepen our work together.
If you are feeling the call, now is the time to consider joining us…
With love of the work,
Steve
